BEHIND THE MUSIC
Hillary has been singing since she could speak. When she was just two years old, Hillary's mom Lisa began setting up a stage in the living room where Hillary and her older sister Lindsay would sing and dance together. Lisa is also a singer and taught Hillary how to harmonize when she was just four years old.

Hillary briefly pursued music in her early twenties, dropping out of the vocal performance department of Penn State University to sing full time in local bands. At twenty four, she decided to go back to school to go after a more stable lifestyle and attended The University of Pittsburgh, studying communication & rhetoric.

In her late twenties, Hillary thought she had it all figured out. She had a great job, a steady way of living, an adorable cat named Alfie and dog named Rex. On March 30, 2015 that all changed after the home Hillary was living in caught fire, taking the lives of Alfie and Rex. Following the devastating fire Hillary was homeless, living with friends and in hotels. After years of depression, moving from place to place, and rebuilding, something snapped and Hillary began to focus on the things that truly made her happy: music, family, friends, and travel.
That is when things changed. Hillary's focus on happiness led her to a healthier lifestyle. She purchased her first home, settling in West Chester, PA. Months later, she met her now husband, Joe. Shortly after their engagement, Hillary auditioned for NBC's The Voice and was officially cast on Season 22 just months before the big wedding day.
Hillary's soulful, twangy voice lends itself to many genres including soul, r&b, pop, folk, jazz, and country. Hillary is most motivated by captivating lyrics and beautiful melodies. She is currently writing new music and excited to continue performing on The Voice stage!
